We have a mirror so kiddos can see how their face might match a look on our carpet, then we discuss how we feel. AWESOME rug.

This rug is not only a fun, attractive decoration; but an invaluable conversation starter. It helps us as adults remember that a child can not tell us the” why “of having done something or “how “an emotionally charged situation( mask wearing; vaccines; lack of money to buy enough food) is effecting them or helps begin “at home level “play to help rebuild resilience and offer age appropriate coping tools.

I bought this rug a little while ago and am impressed with the quality and creativity of it’s designer:it makes communication about the child’s day easier when he/she appears to be having an issue that doesn’t require a social worker.

The carpet is the perfect size for my book area, the kids like it a lot. The quality is good. The only concern I have is that it moves/slides very easy. I have to keep putting it back in place.
The students love this rug!

My students love being able to go to the My Feelings Carpet and using the pictures to identify how they are feeling. They are able to relate to the different faces on the rug. We discuss how they are feeling and/or how their friend is feeling. The pictures on the carpet also help my English-Learners share how they are feeling.
