Managing Feelings

Grades 3 - 6. The Classroom Cruiser is designed to provide opportunities for children, grades PreK-2, to self-regulate through movement without having to leave or disrupt the class. 3 years & up. Model and practice empathy with the Walk In My Shoes Mat, Teacher Guide and Activity Card(s). Provide children with the emotional tools they need as you demonstrate and practice appropriate responses about feelings and emotions. Children will learn to be more empathetic and appreciate how different people express their feelings when they step into their classmate's "shoes" and experience feelings from a new perspective. Birth and up. Keep babies calm and captivated with these Calm Down Bottles. Each bottle has a glittery liquid inside that will swirl and sparkle as babies play. In addition to glitter, the liquid contains small objects such as stars and snowflakes that reflect a rainbow of colors off their surfaces. Other cards are provided and show step-by-step instructions for games and activities to use with the calming cards. Written in both English and Spanish, these cards and the accompanying instruction sheet explain how therapists, teachers, and parents can introduce the cards and the concept of self-calming.
