I love the size of the table, as someone else mentioned in an earlier review, the grooves in the table top are not convenient for coloring/writing. I was pretty bummed about this, my husband came up with a solution that works really well, we ordered a 1.5mm Thick Clear PVC Table Cover Protector from Amazon. Stains stay off the table. The wood is softer and does get grooves from toys and such. As bummed as I was about the grooves, it is by far one of my favorite pieces in my daycare.

The groves on the top of the table make it hard for children to write. The soft wood on the top makes deep dents.
