This session emphasizes the importance of universal design for learning (UDL) in the early childhood classroom. We'll outline ways that teachers can create, plan, and teach using UDL principles such as multiple ways of engagement and multiple means of representation with action and expression in learning. Adding UDL principles to planning and teaching isn't just for children with disabilities. All children benefit from having multiple means of learning without being limited by traditional teaching methods that exclude many children from showcasing their full potential. Throughout the session, we'll explore practical, low-cost ways to create or modify materials and use technology resources to meet children where they are today and help them build the skills and confidence to achieve even more tomorrow.
