These cups are great for allowing children to be independant in the painting area without worrying about spills. There are only four color options for the lids. I bought two sets and wrote more paint color options on the second set.

We do really use the lids very often. It would keep the paint fresh in between classes. The lid with the hole helps if the children knock over the paint (there is not paint everywhere).
