Our Connect4Learning puppets: Conrad the Confused Chameleon, Lila the Letter Puppet and Tucker the Turtle are excellent instructional resources used in the Connect4Learning curriculum to help our youngest learners practice alliteration in fun and engaging ways. This session will focus on developing a deeper understanding of alliteration and participants will learn new ways to embed activities throughout the entire day. Alliteration activities can help our students hear the beginning sounds in words, identify matching sounds, strengthen phonological awareness, and increase vocabulary development as well as help with pre-writing skills. In this session, participants will analyze strategies and practical examples of why alliteration is an important skill to teach and learn how to provide opportunities for students to practice alliteration throughout the Connect4Learning day.
