The Creative Curriculum® Approach Orientation & Overview

This training offers teachers and child care providers and introduction to the Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, the Creative Curriculum® for Infants and Toddlers, or the Creative Curriculum® for Family Child Care. The training can be customized for staff with no prior experience with the curriculum, or adapted for staff who have had some experience and background with Creative Curriculum. During this training, participants will:

  • Receive information on the philosophic bases upon which the Creative Curriculum was developed
  • Learn how to use the selected Creative Curriculum teacher guide as a valuable teacher resource
  • Be involved in preliminary planning for implementation an integration of the curriculum into their daily instruction

The Creative Curriculum® Approach for Preschool Implementation

The Creative Curriculum For Pre-SchoolThis training takes participants farther into the implementation and integration of the Creative Curriculum® for Preschool into classroom instruction. Teachers have additional time for planning and exploration of the eleven Interest Areas. During this training, participants will:

  • Receive information on the philosophic bases upon which the Creative Curriculum was developed
  • Learn how to use the Creative Curriculum, 4th Edition as a valuable teacher's resource
  • Are involved in planning for implementation of the curriculum
  • Review the eleven Interest Areas and explore implementation ideas and strategies

Utilizing The Creative Curriculum Approach to Meet the Early Literacy Challenge

Literacy - The Creative Curriculum ApproachThe training provides preschool teachers and child care providers who are utilizing Literacy - The Creative Curriculum® Approach with valuable research-based information, instructional ideas and strategies on how to integrate a comprehensive literacy approach in the classroom. During this training, participants will:

  • Become familiar with scientifically-based research on reading practice for the preschool child
  • Receive information on the different components of literacy
  • Receive developmentally appropriate instructional ideas and strategies for integrating literacy into the content areas and interest areas
  • Explore the correlation of the Creative Curriculum goals and objectives to required Head Start Program Standards
  • Explore to assess literacy skills accomplishment

Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum System Toolkit

The Creative CurriculumThis training prepares teachers and child care providers to successfully use the Assessment Toolkit to assess the developmental growth of children, ages 3-5. During this training, participants will:

  • Learn the different components of the Assessment Toolkit
  • Learn the data collection and data recording procedures for the Assessment Toolkit
  • Review different types of assessment data collection methods.

CC PORT

CC-PORTThis training offers complete training on the operation, data input, and report generation of the CC PORT Software. During this training, participants will:

  • Learn the operation features of the CC PORT assessment software
  • Become familiar with data input operation for the software program
  • Become familiar with the types of reports that can be generated, their uses, and how to generate them
*Note: Agency is responsible for providing computers and software necessary to provide hands-on instruction of the CC PORT program.
