The Program and Classroom Assessment Course focuses on self-evaluation in a single classroom or across multiple classrooms in a center-based program, or in a family child care home. The course prepares early childhood teachers, administrators, and family child care providers for self-guided, self-evaluation. The methods of evaluation are reviewed and include how to analyze the information and use it to make a quality improvement plan. This course involves two field assignments and evaluation tools. A field assignment involves completing an activity away from the computer. This is a 3-hour course worth 0.3 CEUs.
This course can be utilized to meet the training requirements to earn or renew your Child Development Associate® (CDA®) credential. Course content is aligned with the CDA® Subject Area 5: Managing an effective program.
