Territory Manager – Alabama
Richard came to Kaplan with a strong background in early education, earning a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Alabama. His experience includes teaching second grade and sixth grade, operating a home childcare program, and over 25 years of experience in the field of early education training.
The territory Richard covers includes Birmingham, Montgomery, Huntsville, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Hoover, Dothan, and Auburn.
Richard is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a past President of the Alabama Association for Young Children, and former Board Member for The Southern Early Childcare Association. He also served on the Alabama Quality Rating and Improvement Steering Committee and is dedicated to improving the quality of early childcare programs and the early childhood profession.
Richard currently lives in Florence, Alabama, where he enjoys spending time with, and helping the most patient and kindest people on the planet&helip; early childhood professionals. (Cheesy but true.) He is a father of three and enjoys playing guitar, tennis, woodworking, and performing in local theater.
