An ebook is an electronic copy of a book. You can start reading an ebook as soon as you've paid for it, so there is no waiting for delivery. You can store your entire ebook library on a laptop or other device.
In order to read an ebook, you need to download a small piece of free software known as an ebook reader. Ebooks come in different formats and each format has its own reader software. The format you select will depend upon whether you would like to read on your computer or laptop or a hand held device.
Our ebooks cannot be read on the Kindle. The software on Amazon's Kindle prevents customers from opening secure ebooks supplied by other retailers. Most of our ebooks are published by Gryphon House, Inc. and are available on Amazon.com.

Before downloading your first ebook, you need to download and install a free copy of Adobe Digital Editions. Adobe has developed Digital Editions as a separate application from Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. Adobe Digital Editions is designed specifically for reading ebooks, making ebook reading a simple, pleasurable experience.
To view these files, you'll need Acrobat Digital Editions. Click the icon to download a free copy.
Once the installation is complete you should be presented with a 'Setup Assistance' window. After clicking 'Continue' you will be prompted to authorize Adobe Digital Editions.
The authorization requires an Adobe User ID, which is quick, free and easy to obtain. You should use the username and password you create to authorize Adobe Digital Editions.
Once you have downloaded, installed and authorized Abobe Digital Editions, log in to your My Kaplan account and return to MyDownloads.
To download a copy of your book, click "Download" next to the book title you would like to download.
If given a choice of which application to open your ebook, choose Adobe Digital Editions. The eBook should automatically open in Adobe Digital Editions.
If given a choice to open or save the file, save it to your computer. Start Adobe Digital Editions. Click Library. Select "Add item to Library." Select the saved eBook and click "Open."
Kaplan Early Learning Company has an application called the Kaplan Reader for customers to read eBooks on Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. This application can be downloaded and installed on your device for free.
Once you have downloaded, installed and authorized the Kaplan Reader, using your Apple iOS or Android mobile device, open the application, select the "Get Books" icon, log in to your My Kaplan account and access your purchases in MyDownloads.
