A Message from Mr. Hal Kaplan

As we all know things have been a little tough out there but persistence wears down resistance. It's taken a collective effort to address and harness the political will to keep Head Start funded and have the opportunity to be a part of the stimulus package.

Head Start is funded on performance, evaluated on accountability, and measured on outcomes. Unfortunately public perception tends to focus on the negatives and not the positives that are delivered by your program every day. We've heard the cliché it takes a village… and no time in our current history is that more evident when it comes to supporting children and families in this volatile economy.

I, along with my colleagues, am extremely excited about the opportunities that lie before us. We are ready to help support your vision in creating the best Head Start Programs for the future of our nation.
