Get Started

Select "Create New Plan" and become your own classroom designer with the help of Kaplan Floorplanner.

Change Room Size

You can easily change the dimension of a room once you have created a room. Simply click on the wall you wish to move and hold the mouse button down. Drag the wall to its new position and release the mouse button.

Add Doors, Windows, and Structural Features

Use the Library categories to select the type of feature you would like to add. Drop and drag the feature onto your plan. You can change its size or rotation, and you can move it anywhere within your plan.

Add Kaplan items

Furnish your sample room with Kaplan items. You can change the size or rotation of items, and you can move them anywhere within your plan.

Move an item

You can move existing classroom features or Kaplan items. Simply click on the item you wish to move and hold the mouse button down. Drag the item to its new position and release the mouse button.

Rotate an item

To rotate a Kaplan item or structural feature, click on the item to select it. Select the double sided arrow on the item you wish to move and hold the mouse button down. Rotate the item to its new position and release the mouse button.

Duplicate an item

To duplicate a Kaplan item or structural feature, click on the item to select it. Select the duplicate icon in the information bar that appears. Hold the mouse button down to move the duplicate item into position and release the mouse button.

Label classroom centers

Click on the text icon in the construction menu. Position the text and click the mouse to anchor it. Type the text for your label in the text box and click the mouse to close the comment box prompt.

Remove an item

To remove a Kaplan item or structural feature, click on the item to select it. Select the delete icon in the information bar that appears.
