Amy Odom Williford
Amy Odom Williford received her B.A. degree in 1988 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in English. She continued her studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a M.S. degree in Speech Language Pathology in 1992. Whether working in public schools, hospitals, private clinics, or inclusive preschool settings, Amy has always made it her goal to get children talking, thinking, reading, and learning. As creator of the Signing Sam puppet doll, she has seen these goals come to fruition. This is her first Read and Sign With Sam picture book. Amy lives in Chapel Hill, NC with the greatest blessings of her life: Demir, Odom, Jane Oya, and Noah Williford.
