Dena Adams
Dena C. Adams has a passion for children. For over 25 years she has worked with children and their families in public and private schools, churches, professional community organizations and in her own business. Holding multiple educational certifications and a prestigious Master of Fine Arts degree from U.C.L.A, Mrs. Adams has been a high profile presenter and trainer at conferences and training programs around the world. She has been the recipient of many teaching awards, including the Mayor's Award for Excellence in Arts Education in St. Joseph, Missouri. As the former Director of Creative for Kindermusik International, she supervised and helped author over 35 curricular products in a three year span. She also served as the senior educational consultant in the launch of Kindermusik Asia in Singapore. She is active in children's education projects for her church and teaches full time for the Guilford County School District in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mrs. Adams and Claire D. Clark are the co-owners of Music by Design and in that capacity have authored several volumes of music education materials, conducted preschool educator workshops, and served as consultants on various education products.
Claire Clark
Claire D. Clark has over 25 years experience in educating people of all ages and over 10 years of working with preschool-aged children. Mrs. Clark holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees and she studied in London as a Rotarian Scholar. She has taught at the North Carolina School of the Arts, University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, and University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Mrs. Clark has extensive training in early childhood development as well as Orff and Kindermusik certifications. As a member of the Kindermusik International Creative Team, she helped design and author numerous units of Kindermusik curricula and products, including literature books and music instruments. Currently, Mrs. Clark works with children in several preschool settings and is also active in the education of both adults and youth at her church. Mrs. Clark and Dena C. Adams, co-owners of Music by Design, are authors of several volumes of early childhood music education materials, have conducted preschool educator workshops and have served as consultants in the creation of various education products.
