The Impact of Violence and Treatment for Young Children
Dr. Alicia Lieberman

Make plans now to join the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health in Jacksonville, Florida on May 15-16, 2008 for "Building Our Future," an infant-toddler early development and mental health conference. Based on the premise that early experiences have unique power, the conference will feature cutting-edge knowledge, systemic thinking, and opportunities for collaborative planning. It will also highlight Florida's strategic plan for a birth-to-five mental health system and strategies for facilitating its implementation (see http://www.cpeip.fsu.edu/faimh/IMHPlan.pdf).

Conference attendees and presenters will include early educators and caregivers, physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, university students and faculty, law enforcement personnel, therapists from many different disciplines, child advocates, program administrators, and policy makers. Continuing education credits will be applied for.

For more information, visit http://www.cpeip.fsu.edu/faimh/conference.cfm or contact Leslie Allen at (904) 755-6013 or lallenfsu@aol.com.
