Valentine’s Day is fast approaching—have you thought about the Valentine’s Day activities you want to do with the infants and toddlers in your care? Celebrating Valentine’s Day provides a variety of learning opportunities for infants and toddlers. You can help them learn about love and kindness while also helping them learn colors, shapes, and basic vocabulary words. Here are a few of our favorite Valentine’s Day activities for infants and toddlers:

1. Paint with Heart-Shaped Cookie Cutters

Use heart-shaped cookie cutters and some red or pink paint to make infant and toddler works of art for Valentine’s Day. If you want to avoid some of the mess or are worried about kids putting paint in their mouths, try using water instead of paint.
